Still outlining the oval shapes with trellis stitch.



What to do once I've outlined all the ovals, that's when the fun should start. Should I do it like this one?

or something completely different? I've got a bit of time to decide, there's still a few days work outlining those oval shapes.

A New Year, a new challenge.

I have signed up for 1 Year in Stitches. You can find out about it here. It's a perfect excuse to resurrect a UFO that's been languishing for a couple of years. This one:

It's quite a big piece of hand dyed cotton fabric that I've had for a long while. The plan is to stitch the oval shapes in trellis stitch on a foundation of buttonhole, and then the rest will be a free-for-all.


I have a bit more time for stitching now so perhaps this piece will finally get finished!
